Fragments V2
A downloadable game for Windows
For those who may think this is familiar, Fragments was originally developed for the VR JAM 2023 and I was so blown away to rank 2nd overall and 1st in presentation. Since then, I’ve been working to develop the script and narrative further. Slowly enhancing the 3D and adding mechanics.
By not means is this a finished piece, but I’ve used the VRCA Jam (May 2024) to give myself some motivation and a target to work towards. It hadn’t been made to satisfy the jam’s option theme, but if you do drop the ice cream, gravity is involved!

Fragments is an interactive narrative that sees you embody Alex, a person who has recently been abandoned in life. As Alex, you receive a mystery parcel that is designed to help you realise your fondest memories and passions in life, ensuring they are not to be forgotten.
I would recommend experiencing Fragments in a quiet and peaceful space, take your time in the experience to get fully immersed into the narrative. I would also suggest standing but it can be completely seated.
Developed using Meta Quest 2 via Link, using OpenXR so other headsets should be supported. Controllers in-game will remain Quest 2 Controllers. There is no standalone version currently, but there will be a port once complete.

Development notes
There are still some bugs, but hopefully your experience will be smooth. The main note is that to progress in the memory scenes, you should need to interact with the object, and you should be able to trigger the audio by looking at the figure.
